The Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Beijing 2026 tournament is a tier-1 (S-tier) event in Counter-Strike 2. It’s part of the ESL Pro Tour and features 16 teams competing for a prize pool of $1.25 million.

Teams enter the IEM Beijing tournament either through an invitation based on their VRS points or through the global qualifier. The tournament features a double-elimination group stage followed by single-elimination playoffs.

Explaining the ESL Pro Tour in CS2

IEM Beijing is part of the ESL Pro Tour. Teams earn points for competing in IEM and ESL Pro League tournaments. The ESL Grand Slam is awarded to the team that wins 4 S-Tier ESL events during a 10-tournament window. Team Vitality won the last 2 ESL Grand Slams, making them the only team to achieve back-to-back victories.

When and where is IEM Beijing 2026 happening?

IEM Beijing takes place between 2 and 8 November. It’s held at the Bloomage Biotech-Biohyalux ECM Arena in Beijing, China.

Tournament format and structure of IEM Beijing 2026

The tournament is split into 2 stages: the groups and the playoffs. $1.25 million is available to be won, with the winners receiving a $360,000 prize. The standard map pool is used for this tournament. Teams are able to pick and ban from Ancient, Anubis, Cache, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage and Nuke.

2-4 November - Group Stage

16 teams are split between 2 groups. Each group features 8 teams, which compete in a double-elimination format. Matches in this stage are played to the best of 3 maps. The top 3 teams advance to the playoffs.

Group stage winners progress to the semifinals. Meanwhile, the runners-up play in the quarterfinals as the high seeds against the group stage 3rd-place finishers.

6-8 November - Playoffs

The IEM Beijing playoffs are a single-elimination bracket. Matches during the playoffs are played to the best of 3 maps, except for the Grand Final. The IEM Beijing Grand Final is played to the best of 5 maps.

• Correct Score: Bet on the final match score, choosing how many maps you think each team will win.

• Pistol Round Winner: Pick the team you think will win the first or second pistol round on a specific map.

• Overtime: Bet on whether or not a map will end in overtime.

• Outrights: The outright betting options let you predict which team will win the tournament.
